Before we leave, I just wanted to note a few of my favorite moments from the past couple of weeks that I haven't necessarily noted in previous posts.
1. Dance party in the tube lift (elevator…) after seeing The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime. It looks like I'm the only one dancing in the photo (credit to Perabo for capturing this prime moment), but I swear everyone else was jamming out too. I love this because everyone looks so happy and excited!! Epitome of the past two weeks in one frame (at least for me, anyways!)
2. Breakfast. Oh how we love the Jesmond…I know H, R & I will miss Helga and Simon terribly (our tormentors-don't ask), but I think they will be happy to see us go!! While I love an egg and breakfast meat as much as the next person, I think I have had enough of them in the past two weeks to support a small nation….definitely need to go on a break from the classic english breakfast we've been force-fed every morning (that sounds so tacky-tourist of me, but that's what it's called…)
3. Needless to say, we did not make it to Tesco for that ice cream-straight back to my flat to clean up, wash our clothes, and laugh about it the entire night. tacky tourist pictures. Like this one at 10 Downing Street! Note how terrified I look…ready to run away from the horse as soon as the photo was taken. No shame! I need to be able to remember all of these moments when I'm back home after all.
4. Red buses. We only went on one the second day, but they never failed to make a picture look great! So classic London. This is one of my favorite shots I took during our time here, right by Trafalgar Square.
5. Spending time with my friends, old and new. Like this guy in Trafalgar Square! Technically you aren't supposed to climb up like I did…but to be fair, it was a request from my mom to pose like this-we saw it in a travel video a couple of years ago. The two weeks wouldn't have been the same without them (the human friends, I mean!!!)
HERE WE COME UEA!
xx
